Grok Bot is desktop app from xAI for always-on AI teammates that can use tools, a shared cloud computer, and routines
While X.com is free to use, Grok Bot itself is a paid feature. There is no free tier for it.
It is included with these paid plans, not sold separately:
- SuperGrok — $30/month
- SuperGrok Plus — $100/month
- SuperGrok Heavy — higher tier (often cited around $300/month)
- Cursor Pro and higher Cursor plans
- Cursor Teams plans
Bot usage is tracked separately from normal Grok/Cursor chat quotas and typically includes a weekly allowance, with extra usage billed on tokens if you go over.
Steps To Install Grok Bot
Step 1: The first step is to go to https://x.ai/bot
Step 2: Click on the “Download for macOs” button.
If you are using Windows, the button will say “Download for Windows”.
Step 3: Go to your downloads and open the Grok Bot file that you just downloaded.
Step 4: Drag the Grok Bot app to your Applications folder. You may be prompted to enter the password for your Mac.
Step 5: Go to Applications on your Mac. The Grok Bot app should appear as one of the apps available. Double-click on it to open it.
Step 6: Grok Bot will prompt you to sign in if you do not already have an account.
It is not free to use Grok Bot. When creating a new account, it will prompt you for your credit card information, however, it will not charge you for anything unless you approve a purchase.
Once you have created an account and signed in, you will be logged into Grok Bot.
